Throughout history, indigenous people have known about the great healing power in ancestral medicines. Whether it be for physical, mental or spiritual ailments, Mother Earth provides all the healing we need.
The Ancestral Medicines that we share at our Arkana Ayahuasca Spiritual Retreat Centers include; San Pedro or "Huachuma" (originally from the Andes Mountains of Peru). Sapo, or also known as "Bufo" are from the secretions of the Sonoran Desert Toad which contain an extremely potent and powerful medicine known as 5-MeO-DMT. (Hapé) which is composed of tobacco (as its primary ingredient) and other medicinal plants from the Amazon jungle. And of course Ayahuasca, or "Yage" (originally from the Amazon jungle.)
Each ancestral medicine contains powerful doctor spirits, which offer healing and knowledge to those who take them in a sacred way.
Ayahuasca
Ayahuasca (Yagé) is a tea-like brew used by shamans in the jungles of Amazon-basin countries. Many visitors to ayahuasca retreats today seek the powerful healing it is known to bring. It can cure chronic depression, drug addiction or alcoholism to physical illnesses such as Parkinson’s disease, psoriasis and even cancer. Clinical researchers are investigating claims, some of which remain anecdotal, but there’s compelling evidence that shamanic healing works and is especially effective for emotional and psychological issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

San Pedro (Huachuma) cactus contains a variety of alkaloids, including the well-known compound, Mescaline. Psychedelic journeys are similar to Peyote however, San Pedro’s effects are much more gentle and grounding. Some drinkers report that their experience with this medicine as like being held in the loving embrace of an ethereal goddess.
sapo Toad medicine
Sapo (Bufo) from the Bufo Aavarius toad in the Sonoran desert, has the ingredient (5-MeO-DMT) which is also known as the "God molecule". This short but profoundly healing & intense ceremony offers deeply profound experiences which are said to be comparable to mystical Hindu experiences of Moksha or Buddhist experiences of Samadhi and Nirvana.

Also included in with your retreat, are personal plant Dieta's that our shaman may prescribe for your particular aliment(s) when you are at our center and speak with them. As there are many plants in the Amazon which can heal, and may be better for you.

Guests who will be on a prescribed specific Plant Treatment, will NOT be taking the Sonoran Desert Toad as they cannot take any other plants/medicines besides Ayahuasca.
