From the whispering trees to the rhythmic songs of the birds, Yucatan provides an environment that is in harmony with introspection and spiritual awakening. This isn't just another location; it's a conscious space chosen for authentic healing.
History of the Retreat Space
Nestled amidst this enchanting location is the Arkana Yucatan retreat center, a sanctuary of healing and transformation. Originally built during the 18th century, this ecological Hacienda was a testament to the Henequen industrial boom, a plant known for its fiber. After years of being abandoned, this historical landmark was rejuvenated to its original grandeur. This space is a great metaphor for embracing the past, the present and the future all at once. It’s the starting point of a true pathway of integration for hundreds of seekers.
How to Get There and How to Prepare
Located conveniently close to Cancun’s International Airport, a major international hub, reaching Arkana is a breeze. We take care of getting you here, so you don’t need to worry.
The weather is hot and humid during this time of year. When you book, you’ll receive a detailed suggested packing list to help you out.
However, the biggest way to prepare is to become conscious of your diet, your intentions, and your inner mental space before coming. These are often underestimated but are truly key to support you as you go through the medicine ceremonies.

Program and Dates
This year, the retreats at Arkana Mexico unfold from October 22nd to December 9th, 2023.
Over a span of 7 days, you will:
Experience 3 Ayahuasca ceremonies
Participate in 1 Psilocybe Mushroom ceremony
Immerse yourself in a Temazcalli (Sweat Lodge) ritual
Optionally partake in the powerful Bufo Alvarius medicine (5-MeO-DMT)
Alongside this, you’ll enjoy luxurious accommodations, savor farm-to-table vegetarian cuisine, and soak in the tranquility of swimming pools, gardens, and meditation spaces.
Who is Facilitating
Your journey will be shepherded by a gifted team of shamans and facilitators, including the revered Maestra Jazmin Pinedo Casimiro. Hailing from a lineage of Mazatec medicine women, Maestra Jazmin carries the traditions of her ancestors with pride and devotion. As the guardian of her mother's legacy, she brings invaluable wisdom and experience to the ceremonies.
We will also have the incredible Maestra Justina come down from our Arkana Amazon location, as well as her son Maestro Luis.
All of them have years and even decades of experience, so you are certain to get the experts supporting you during the medicine process. We’ll also have our facilitators there to help you with anything you need, inside and outside the ceremony spaces.

Mushrooms: Guided by Maestra Jazmin, the Psilocybe Mushroom ceremony offers a doorway into understanding oneself and the universe.
Sapo (Bufo): This medicine, derived from the Bufo Alvarius toad, offers deep introspection and connection with the universe. It’s an optional add-on, however, we know that it often creates the perfect mental and emotional awareness to lead into the Ayahuasca ceremony in the evening.

Yoga: Beyond physical flexibility, Yoga paves the way for mental and spiritual elasticity, making it an integral part of the retreat.
